FREE · NO SIGNUP · NEVER EXPIRES
Instagram QR code generator
An Instagram QR code sends scanners straight to your profile — no searching, no mistyped handles. Paste your profile URL (instagram.com/yourusername) below and download a print-ready code in seconds. It's free, needs no account, and never expires. On most phones the code opens the Instagram app directly.

01
Paste your profile URL
Enter https://www.instagram.com/yourusername in the URL field. Copy it from your profile rather than typing it — handles with underscores and dots are easy to get wrong.
02
Style it if you like
Colors, rounded dots, and a center logo are free. Drop your logo or an Instagram glyph in the middle. Keep the code darker than the background — scanners read contrast.
03
Download and print
SVG scales cleanly from sticker to storefront. PNG up to 4096px covers everything else. Put it on packaging, table tents, business cards, or the shop window.
Worth knowing
It opens the app, not just a webpage
On most iPhones and Androids, instagram.com links deep-link into the installed app. Scanners land on your profile, signed in and one tap from following.
Test before the print run
Scan the final artwork with your own phone before sending 5,000 boxes to the printer. Thirty seconds of checking beats a pallet of broken codes.
Changing your handle breaks printed codes
A static code encodes the URL itself. Rename the account and the old link dies. If a rebrand is plausible, use a dynamic code you can re-point.
If your link will change
Printed packaging outlives marketing plans. A dynamic QR code gives you a short link you can re-point after printing — to a new handle, a seasonal campaign, or a different page entirely — plus scan counts by day, country, and device. Qranite includes 2 dynamic codes free, and they keep redirecting even if you stop paying. See pricing.
About dynamic codesCommon questions
Does an Instagram QR code expire?
Not here. The code encodes your profile URL directly — nothing depends on our servers. It works as long as your username stays the same.
Will the code open the Instagram app or a browser?
The app, on most phones. iPhone and Android route instagram.com links to the installed app, landing scanners on your profile. Without the app, it opens the mobile website instead.
How is this different from Instagram's built-in QR code?
Instagram's in-app code works fine for screens. For print, you usually want more: SVG files that scale to any size, your own colors and logo, and high-resolution PNGs. This generator gives you those, free.
Can I see how many people scanned it?
Not with a static code — it's just an image, with no server in the loop. Qranite's dynamic codes add scan counts by day, country, and device. Two are free.
What happens if I change my username?
A printed static code keeps pointing at the old URL, which breaks. Either reprint with the new handle or use a dynamic code, which you can re-point in seconds without reprinting anything.
