Email QR code generator

An email QR code opens a pre-addressed message in the scanner's default mail app — address, subject, and body already filled in. They just tap send. Enter your details below and download a print-ready code in seconds. It's free, needs no account, and never expires.

01

Enter the email address

Type the address that should receive the messages. Double-check the spelling — a typo here means every scan emails the wrong inbox.

02

Pre-fill the subject and body

Both are optional but worth using. A subject like "Support request" or "RSVP — Smith wedding" lets you sort replies instantly. The body can prompt for details: order number, name, plus-one.

03

Style, download, print

Logos, colors, and dot styles are free. Download SVG for print at any size, or PNG up to 4096px. Test one scan on your own phone before sending it to the printer.

Worth knowing

Write the subject for your inbox, not theirs

A consistent pre-filled subject turns into a free filing system. Set up one inbox filter and every scanned reply lands in the right folder.

Keep the body short

Longer text means a denser code, which is harder to scan when printed small. A one-line prompt beats a paragraph. Under 300 characters total is a safe rule.

Your data never leaves your browser

Qranite builds the mailto code on your device. The address, subject, and body are never sent to our servers — which is also why the code can't expire.

If your link will change

A static email QR code encodes the address itself, so changing inboxes means reprinting. A dynamic code puts a short link you can re-point in between — useful when support rotates between people, or when you want to count scans by day, country, and device. Free accounts get 2 dynamic codes with unlimited scans. And per the Qranite policy, if you stop paying, your codes keep redirecting forever.

About dynamic codes

Common questions

What does an email QR code actually do?

It encodes a mailto link. Scanning it opens the phone's default mail app with the recipient, subject, and body already filled in. The person reviews the draft and taps send — nothing is sent automatically.

Does an email QR code expire?

Not here. The address, subject, and body live inside the code itself — nothing depends on our servers. It works as long as the email address does.

Can I pre-fill the subject line and message body?

Yes. Qranite's email form has fields for both. Keep them short — every character makes the code denser and slightly harder to scan at small print sizes.

What if the person scanning has no mail app set up?

The mailto link needs a configured mail app to open. Most phones have one by default. If yours is a high-stakes use case, print the address under the code as a fallback.

Is this really free? What's the catch?

Static codes cost us nothing — they're generated in your browser. We make money on dynamic codes for businesses that need editable links and scan stats. The free tool is the marketing.
